There was excitement within the CBTS committee at notification from the Federal Government that we had been successful in our application for funding!

Under the Federal Government Volunteers Grant - The Chelsea & Bonbeach Train Station Group has been awarded nearly $5000 to go towards the purchase of assets to help encourage volunteerism and community engagement.

Some of the items approved for purchase include a BBQ, seating, working bee tools and a fridge for use during working bee days.

This funding gives CBTS the chance to grow our scope from being a local action group to a community organisation that gives isoltated people in our community a chance to interract with others.
